1971년 출생.
강릉대학교 미술학과에서 조소를 공부한 후 중앙대학교에서 조소과를 석사 졸업했다. 이후 독일 슈투트가르트 쿤스트아카데미 조소과를 졸업하고 동 대학 마이스터(Aufbaustudium) 과정을 마쳤다.
Born in 1971.
After studying sculpture at Gangneung National University College of Fine Arts, earned his master’s in sculpture at Chung-Ang University. He then graduated from the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design in Germany and completed the meister (Aufbaustudium) program at the said school.
Lee, Changhoon focuses on urban spaces and changes and explores the points where human lives are generated. He is also continuing his research on natural phenomena such as rain, wind and fog, as well as phenomena generated through the meeting of natural objects such as trees and stones. In this exhibition, he transported water from Namdaecheon Stream to a freezer and transformed it into a solid. This water, which is not purified but also contains a wide range of foreign particles, contains the life and time of Gangneung. His goal is to make us feel our life through all of time and space that comprises Namdaecheon stream.
이창훈은 도시 공간과 변화에 주목하고 우리의 삶이 발생되는 지점을 탐구한다.
비, 바람, 안개 등의 자연 현상과 나무, 돌 등 자연 사물의 만남에서 생성되는 현상에 대한 연구도 계속하고 있다. 이번 전시에서는 남대천의 강물을 냉동고로 옮겨 고체로 변형한다. 정제된 맑은 물이 아닌, 다양한 이물질이 함유된 이 강물에는 강릉의 삶과 시간이 축적되어 있다. 남대천이 품는 모든 시공간을 통해 우리 삶을 느끼는 것이 목표이다.
