CREATIVE1230 is a visual arts professional group created voluntarily to overcome the limitations of the Gangwon area. Artists of various sectors including photography, video, music, and visual arts have gathered here to collaborate. The name CREATIVE1230 represents the course of their challenge with 123, and also expresses that it is fine if everything becomes zero (0). In order to support artists, it uses part of the studio called Art Factory to hold exhibitions, etc. It provides a stable environment so that local artists can freely continue their activities. At GIAF, the art of domestic and foreign artists who worked on their surrounding environment, exploration of cities and Gangneung from an aesthetic perspective will be displayed at buildings A and B of CREATIVE1230.

크리에이티브1230은 강원 지역의 한계성을 뛰어 넘기 위해 자발적으로 생성된 시각예술 프로페셔널 그룹이다. 이곳에서는 사진, 영상, 음악, 시각예술 등 다양한 분야의 예술가가 모여 협업하고 있다. 크리에이티브1230의 123은 도전하는 과정이며, 0이 되어도 좋다는 의미가 있다. 예술가 지원을 위해, 스튜디오 일부 공간을 아트팩토리(Art Factory)라는 이름으로 활용하며 전시 등을 선보이고 있다. 로컬 아티스트들이 자유로운 활동을 지속할 수 있도록 안정적 환경을 제공한다. GIAF는 크리에이티브1230의 A, B동에서, 다양한 국내외 작가들의 작품을 소개한다. 작가들을 둘러싼 환경을 바탕으로 도시를 탐구하고, 강릉을 미적 관점에서 고찰하는 작업들이 전시된다.
