DINING PERFORMANCE
다이닝 퍼포먼스
In addition to the display of Hong Lee, Hyun-sook’s works, Social Chef YouSun Ko will also hold dining performances at Seobu Market Yejip.
Everyone has a unique taste that they hold dear deep within their hearts. Chef Ko designed a menu using ‘Myeongju-dong Grandmother Recipe’ that contains memories and stories of home cooking which is the most Gangneung-esque and that will give unforgettable memories to visitors to Gangneung. The table will be highlighted by gajami-sikhae (pickled halibut) prepared by the chef offering the flavors of Gangneung’s seas and potatoes, a staple of Gangwon cuisine. This performance will examine the communion of humans and ingredients, elevate hierarchy of behavior and senses of dining, and the artistic possibilities of tastes. It will also remind the audience of the behavior and meanings of making food, eating with the mouth that tastes food, and other things that can be performed with the mouth.
서부시장 예집에서는 홍이현숙 작가의 작품 전시와 동시에 고유선 소셜셰프의 다이닝 퍼포먼스가 진행된다. 누구나 마음속에 간직한 고유의 맛이 있다. 셰프는 강릉을 찾은 방문객들에게 가장 강릉다운 것, 잊지 못할 추억이 될 집밥 추억과 이야기를 담은 ‘명주할매밥상’을 활용하여 메뉴를 구성했다.
특히 셰프가 직접 담근 강릉의 바다맛을 느낄 수 있는 가자미식해, 강원도 대표 음식 감자를 이용한 디저트가 준비된다. 이 기획은 인간과 재료의 교감, 식사라는 행위와 감각의 위계를 재고하며 미각의 예술적 가능성을 조명한다.
또한, 음식을 만들고 음식을 맛보는 입을 통해 먹고, 입으로 할 수 있는 행위적 의미를 다시금 상기시키게 한다.

YouSun Ko Currently working as a social chef at the Seoul Social Economy Support Center and runs the village enterprise, Today’s Restaurant. Formerly worked as a cook at the Libyan Embassy.

예술바우길
As a cooperative project with the Gangneung Baugil Foundation, the Art Baugil Trekking Course that includes the venue of the Gangneung International Art Festival and new must-walk places has opened. This project expands exhibitions from something to ‘see’ to something to ‘walk on’ and to ‘sense the space’. Visitors can enjoy the festival that combines culture and art as if sightseeing in Gangneung. Also, take advantage of the opportunity to make your mind and body healthy.
사단법인 강릉바우길과의 협력 프로젝트로, 강릉국제아트페스티벌의 장소와 꼭 걸어야 하는 강릉의 여러 장소를 포함한 예술바우길 트레킹 코스를 개장하였다. 이는 전시를 ‘보는 것’에서 ‘걷는 것’으로, 나아가 ‘공간을 감각하는 것’으로 확장한 프로젝트이다. 강릉 지역을 유람하듯 걸으며 문화와 예술이 함께하는 축제를 즐길 수 있다. 더불어 몸과 마음이 건강해질 수 있는 기회를 누려 볼 수 있다.

GIAF teamed up with the interpretation team of the Dabom Human Rights Center that possesses various interpreters to support foreign language docent.

GIAF은 다양한 통역 자원을 지닌 (사)다봄인권센터의 통역팀과 협업하여 외국어 도슨트 프로그램을 운영한다. 강릉에 거주하는 이민자들이 자신의 모국어를 활용하여 강릉국제아트페스티벌을 방문하는 외국어 사용자에게 작품 설명을 제공한다.

The importance of respecting early childhood creative activities is dealt with through dialogue between artists and art teachers. Dongwan Kook(Artist) living with little artist at home, and Lee Imgyung(Art Teacher) meet to talk about the artistic environment surrounding children from childcare to entrance exams and the meaning of respect for creative activities.

Artist Soyo Lee, who made sculptures with natural objects collected from the mountains and seas of Gangneung, explains the contents of the work and the production process. Through a simple practice, we will experience limestone lime cycles and look at how concrete buildings and whorl hedges that are easily encountered in the city center came to us from mountains and seas.
일시: 12월 4일 (일) 오후 4시 (총 90분 예정)
장소: 대추무파인아트 2층
강릉의 산과 바다에서 채취한 자연물로 조각을 만든 이소요 작가가 작품 내용과 제작 과정을 해설한다. 간단한 실습을 통해 석회암 라임 사이클을 체험하면서 도심에서 쉽게 만나는 콘크리트 건물과 회양목 생울타리가 산과 바다에서 어떻게 우리에게 오게 되었는지 살펴본다.
