In addition to the display of Hong Lee, Hyun-sook’s works, Social Chef YouSun Ko will also hold dining performances at Seobu Market Yejip.  Everyone has a unique taste that they hold dear deep within their hearts. Chef Ko designed a menu using ‘Myeongju-dong Grandmother Recipe’ that contains memories and stories of home cooking which is the most Gangneung-esque and that will give unforgettable memories to visitors to Gangneung. The table will be highlighted by gajami-sikhae (pickled halibut) prepared by the chef offering the flavors of Gangneung’s seas and potatoes, a staple of Gangwon cuisine. This performance will examine the communion of humans and ingredients, elevate hierarchy of behavior and senses of dining, and the artistic possibilities of tastes. It will also remind the audience of the behavior and meanings of making food, eating with the mouth that tastes food, and other things that can be performed with the mouth.
