Hong Seung-Hye has been working on geometric abstract art based on computer pixels. She is expanding her works with video art by adding movements and sounds to geometrical shapes and music art using musical notes to broaden her domain. Her work <Searchlight>(2022) is a video produced as a flash animation with digital sounds made by the artist titled ‘Tic Toc Song’. The circular and elliptical shapes explore the old inner walls of the tunnel like a lighting device and move slowly. It sheds light upon the tragic history of Noam Tunnel from the Japanese Occupation to the Korean War, along with background sounds with sorrowful tunes.
