Harada Yuki

Born in 1989.

After graduating from Musashino Art University, he completed his MFA in the Department of Inter-media Art in the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.

Based on visual motifs that are widely recognized socially, Yuki Harada challenges the limitations of the human body, cognition, and emotions while searching for viewpoints that reveal modern sceneries. His work with performance videos that unmask the relationship of humans and sceneries is part of this.Borrowing from CGI, etc. used in paranormal photos and open world games that led to an occult boom in Japan, he materializes expressions over various spectrums such as real images, performances, CGI, curation, publication, and more. In <Painting to be Shown to the Lake (The Monk by the Sea)> (2022), he held a performance showing his work to Suwa River in Japan with the motif of <The Monk by the Sea> by Caspar David Friedrich. At GIAF, he will produce his work at Gyeongpo Lake in Gangneung with the motif of <Daubigny's Garden> by Vincent van Gogh.
